What an exciting year 2005 has been at Roth Käse USA! We’ve finished Phase One of our plant expansion; the new employee break room and the additional make room space have been a welcome addition. In November, we broke ground on Phase Two of the expansion, a new curing facility. Our commitment to new product development bore fruit to our new (and “new and improved”) products: Queso Duro Tropical, Fontiago, and the Solé! line of Hispanic cheeses all garnered attention in the trade. The accolades for our cheeses kept rolling in…we took home 13 awards for our hand-crafted cheeses during 2005. GranQueso, a Roth Käse original creation, was the all-star; this outstanding cheese took home a gold medal at the World Cheese Awards and a First Place at the American Cheese Society conference.
Our sponsorship of the exciting television program “Taste This” continues…Chef Joe Ciminera and his crew filmed an episode of their cooking show at our plant in Monroe, and several Roth Käse “personalities” appeared as guests on fourth season episodes. The new “Taste This” selection of cheeses, hand-selected by Chef Joe himself, is now available for purchase on our website – check it out!
We continue to strengthen our marketing and distribution partnerships with fellow cheese companies, including Crave Brothers’ Farmstead Cheese, Cypress Grove, and Upland’s Cheese, in order to offer our customers a full-range of the most outstanding cheeses available.
